A few days ago, you heard from fellow author and friend, Lilian Oake on writing battle scenes. I promised a review of one of her books was coming soon, and here it is.
The Dragon Cager, by Lilian Oake is a teen/YA novel about a young woman who is pushed from the world in which she has grown, to the harsh outlying areas where she is abducted by a cager—men who can turn from dragon to human form. These cagers, are the stuff of children’s nightmares, and Evie (the main character) must find a way to survive the most dangerous creatures of her land.
Lilian Oake does an amazing job of taking her readers on an emotional and physical journey in this tale. With steamy (but fully clean and appropriate) scenes and magic-imbued fight sequences, this book gets 4 out of 5 stars for me. I’m definitely voting for a second book. There are so many places this story can go, I look forward to finding out what lies ahead for our main character, Evie.
Remember, The Dragon Cager is currently free on Amazon Kindle, but the sale ends Saturday, so check it out before it’s over!! And, next week, I’ll be interviewing Lilian Oake and finding out more about this awesome writer. If you have a question you want to ask this author, leave it below and yours could be chosen to join our list. I look forward to hearing what you say, but please keep it clean. Any inappropriate comments will not make it to the page.
Check back soon! Hugs!!
