Back from Vacation

Hello Legendary Readers!
It’s been a crazy couple of weeks here in Imagica. I’ve been to CyPhaCon and met a TON of awesome people, learned some new things too. (Thank you, Jeremy Laszlo!) Then, I went up to central AL and visited with family for a week. It was an amazing time!!

Now that I’m back home, though. I’m ready to type away, creating more magical Lex moments. (And I have a special project I’m working on!)
Hope you guys enjoy the pics and had a great time while I was away. Catch ya later readers!

Two Weeks to CyPhaCon!

Last week was vacationing in New Orleans. This weekend is Easter. And then comes

Cyphacon

If you can’t tell, I’m a little excited.

CyPhaCon is an anime, gaming and science fiction convention. There are going to be so many awesome people and vendors there. Luna, my 16 year-old daughter will be dragged along with me. She’s just SO disappointed about that. (That statement is dripping with sarcasm. She’s happily freaking out whenever we talk about it.)

Not only will I be participating by having my awesome forest booth set up, but I get to host TWO panels!

In the panel Blurred Lines: A Fantastic Reality, I’ll be talking about how to build a realistic magical world. In Fountain (Pen) of Youth, I’ll talk about writing for kids. Both of these panels are great for all ages, so feel free to bring your kiddos along.

So mark your calendars, Legendary Readers. April 6-8, Luna and I will be hanging out at the Lake Charles Civic Center in Louisiana. Come on out and say hi to us and grab a copy of Legendary Lex: An ODD Beginning and I’ll sign it for you! Plus, I’ll be holding a giveaway that weekend. One lucky person will get a free copy of Legendary Lex, and two others will win a free art print of their choice!

If you need tickets, just click here for more information.

See you guys soon!!

Dinner, Board Games, and ME!!

Saturday, I will have the great pleasure of hanging out all day at one of my all time favorite places, Gamers n’ Geeks in Mobile, Al.

From 1 to 10, I’ll be signing and selling at the best gamers store in town. On top of that, Gulf Coast Gaming will be bringing a HUGE selection of board games for us all to try out! Dinner will be served from 3 to 6 by Godfather’s pizza. It’s going to be an insane day of fun.

Oh, did I mention the CW is coming and filming live for 3 hours! They’ll be giving away PensaCon tickets and awesome swag!!! (Is it bad I’m rooting for my family to score some of these sweet treats?)

If any of you guys live close by, you should totally come check it out. It’s going to be an awesome time! For more info, click here.

Hugs, readers! Hope to see you there!!

Post QuestCon High

The weekend is over and I’m still on Cloud 9. QuestCon in Mobile, Alabama was only my second convention ever and the wave of elation has yet to end. What was so awesome? Well, I’ll narrow it down to my top 3 for you guys.

In third place: COSPLAY!!!!

I LOVED seeing everyone in character. So many great outfits stopped by, and each person totally represented their cosplay complete with attitude. Strike a pose and rock it!!!

Second: The Celebrity Guests.

Matthew Atchley, John Anderson, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Jody Lynn Nye, Dan Wells, Paul Amos…the list goes on and on. There were so many cool people to meet and awesome panels to attend that I didn’t even get to meet the

RWBY voice actors! I did shake hands with Paul Amos and saw Jason Douglas, but I was kind of  fan girling in my head and didn’t want to give away that I totally adore their characters. Next time though, I’m totally letting my mouth fly open with, “

Dude you were awesome in….” Screw trying to be cool. I WANT A PICTURE!!!! I did totally get these snapshots though, AND I got to actually participate in a panel with DAN WELLS!!!!

Okay, so what can beat celebrities?

And the Winner Is…: Spending time with Friends, Family, and Fans, and Making New Ones.

Helping me man my booth, were three of the coolest people ever, friend and author Carrie Dalby and the Purple Pixie herself, Sylvia Lee. Hubby and the kids were there and Saturday, I even got to see some of my other homeschool babies. Matthew Atchley (celebrity artist) and his wife returned to Mobile and it was SO great to hang out with them again. I also got a chance to meet some young readers and even heard back the next day how much they were loving the story!!! That’s really what it’s all about. I love taking my readers on an adventure they enjoy.

Well, the weekend is over and Lex2 is calling my name, so even though I’m still riding the high, I must return to my manuscript and find out what happens when Lex…

oops, can’t say. Hee hee!!

Catch you guys again soon! Oh, if you want a chance to grab your own copy of Legendary Lex: An ODD Beginning, click here for more info.

Loves and Hugs to you all!!! And a special thanks to QuestCon for making me a part of your family. ❤
